During your first appointment, your physiotherapist will carry out a detailed assessment of your condition. This may include checking your movement, strength, flexibility, and any areas causing pain or restriction.Both initial sessions and follow-ups usually involve hands-on treatment. This can include stretching, joint mobilisation, guided exercises, and other techniques tailored to your needs. Where appropriate, additional methods such as taping or dry needling may also be used.

Your physiotherapist will bring a portable treatment table. You’ll need approximately 2 x 3 metres of clear floor space, allowing enough room for the table and for the therapist to move comfortably around it.

Yes. Please provide towels to cover the treatment table and for your own comfort. We recommend two large towels or sheets, along with a smaller towel for the headrest.

While both treatments aim to improve movement and reduce pain, they are used differently. Osteopathy is often suitable for managing mild to moderate discomfort, whereas physiotherapy is typically recommended following injury, surgery, or illness to help restore strength, mobility, and function.

Yes. If you’d like continuity of care, you can request the same physiotherapist for future appointments. You may also save your preferred practitioner to make rebooking quicker and easier.

Some physiotherapy sessions involve movement and exercises, so we recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing such as a t-shirt and shorts or leggings. The key is to wear something that allows you to move freely.
